IN PICTURES: HOLIDAY SHOW AT MUSIC BOX SUPPER CLUB
ICYMI, we had a fabulous end to 2019 with a packed holiday show at Music Box Supper Club over on the west bank of The Flats! We had never undertaken a ticketed evening event, and we wanted to design a night with a little bit for everyone…
I’m a huge fan of midcentury holiday music: I love the string parts to the old Mel Torme and Bing Crosby standards. And over the years we have developed several covers to the Vince Guaraldi Trio’s score from A Charlie Brown Christmas, among others.
But one of my favorite aspects of the night was inviting dear friend and colleague Ashley Nemeh onstage to sing several numbers with us, including “The Christmas Song,” and her personal favorite, “O Holy Night.”
Ashley has an incredible voice, matched by a beautiful personality, and she’s one to watch in Cleveland. We met while working together on music for several private events in Cleveland, and she’s rubbed elbows with Taylor Swift, sang along with Rascal Flatts in Nashville, and she’s still producing her own material. Check out her work on Spotify and social media! @ashleynemeh
With such a unique show in the works, we decided to bring on a fabulous, Cleveland-based photographer who is both a music-lover and advocate, and has experience shooting shows for top notch performers. And thus, behold the wonderful work of Jeanette Sangston! Find her on Instagram at @soundofmysoul
Enjoy!
